SM520 HollySys output module, HollySys 520 module series The PLC pulse frequency function reads the pulse frequency input from the high-speed counter, converts it into rotational speed, or converts the current counter value into cumulative revolutions. It outputs the converted value as an 8-digit hexadecimal and can only be used with high-speed counter 0. When converting frequency to rotational speed, the rotational speed is calculated using the pulse frequency input from the high-speed counter and the number of pulses per revolution. When converting the current counter value to cumulative revolutions, the cumulative revolutions are calculated using the current counter value and the number of pulses per revolution. The specific steps for its use are as follows. (1) Setting for use/non-use of the high-speed counter: Set [High-speed Counter 0 Use/Non-use] in the PLC system settings to "Use". (2) Selection of counter mode: Select [High-speed Counter 0]/[Counting Mode] in the PLC system settings. (3) Selection of numerical range mode: Select [High-speed Counter 0]/[Numerical Range Mode] in the PLC system settings. When the numerical range mode is set to ring mode, set [High-speed Counter 0]/[Ring Counter Maximum Value] in the PLC system settings. (4) Selection of high-speed counter current value reset method: Select [High-speed Counter 0]/[Reset Method] in the PLC system settings. (5) Execution of PRV2 instruction: When converting frequency to revolutions, operand C1 is the control data [Frequency to Rotational Speed Conversion: #0000]; operand C2 is the system setting [Number of Pulses Per Revolution (Hα)]; operand D is the lower CH number of the conversion result storage destination. When converting the current counter value to revolutions, operand C1 is the control data [Current Counter Value to Cumulative Revolutions Conversion: #0001]; operand C2 is the coefficient setting [Number of Pulses Per Revolution (Hα)]; operand D is the lower CH number of the conversion result storage destination.
