It connects to the backplane of the chassis via a 64-pin European connector and interfaces with Cu50 and Pt100 RTD temperature sensors to process temperature signals from industrial sites. Through configuration, the SM430 module can sample and process resistance signals within the range of 50–300Ω (-125–550°C).
HollySys SM430, SM413 input module controller. The SM430 adopts a modular design with an overall cassette plug-in structure, installed on chassis rails and secured with locking pins. The module is fixed with anti-mix pins on the backplane. It is an intelligent 16-channel contact-type SOE signal input module, specifically designed to process SOE input signals from the field by connecting with the matching base FM131A, with a contact query voltage of 24VDC. As a ProfiBus-DP slave station, the module uploads collected signals and related diagnostic information to the ProfiBus-DP master station via the ProfiBus-DP bus. The module achieves a resolution of 1ms for SOE signals; it has a sufficiently large buffer to ensure no SOE signal is missed while maintaining precise signal resolution; it also features signal debouncing to distinguish abnormal signal jitter, ensuring the reliability of sampled signals. The module consists of a 16-channel contact-type SOE input template (FB161-B series), an I/O module SOE-specific intelligent processing board (FB111A series), and an enclosure structure. In use, the module needs to be connected to the terminal base FM131 to form a complete 16-channel SOE digital sampling unit. Different loads have corresponding requirements for the output method of the PLC. For example, frequently switched inductive loads should use transistor or thyristor output types, rather than relay output types. However, relay output PLCs have many advantages, such as low conduction voltage drop, isolation effect, relatively low price, strong ability to withstand instantaneous overvoltage and overcurrent, flexible load voltage (AC or DC), and a wide range of voltage levels. Therefore, relay output PLCs can be chosen for infrequently switched AC or DC loads.
