High-Quality Type K Thermocouple
Other Products
The K-type thermocouple is a cost-effective metal thermocouple widely used in industrial temperature measurement, primarily for measuring the temperature of liquids, steam, gases, and solid surfaces within the range of -200°C to 1300°C.
Structure and Working Principle
The K-type thermocouple consists of a nickel-chromium alloy (positive electrode, composition Ni:Cr=90:10) and a nickel-silicon alloy (negative electrode, composition Ni:Si=97:3). It converts temperature into a thermoelectromotive force signal through the Seebeck effect. Its working principle is based on the thermoelectric characteristics of the two metals, enabling temperature detection by measuring the voltage difference between the cold and hot ends.
Main Features
Wide temperature measurement range: Covers -200°C to 1300°C
High linearity: The output signal has a linear relationship with temperature
Strong oxidation resistance: Suitable for oxidizing or inert atmospheres
Low cost: As an affordable metal thermocouple, its production volume exceeds the sum of all other types of thermocouples.
