Armored heating cable (also known as mineral insulated heating cable) is an industrial heating device composed of a metal protective sheath (stainless steel/copper), an inorganic insulation layer (magnesium oxide/aluminum oxide), and an electric heating wire, compacted via a mold. It features pressure resistance, vibration resistance, explosion-proof properties, and can withstand operating temperatures up to 600°C.
Structure and Performance
Sheath Material: Made of metals such as stainless steel, copper, or copper-nickel alloy, offering high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
Insulation Layer: Composed of inorganic materials like magnesium oxide or aluminum oxide, which are high-temperature resistant and non-conductive, ensuring safety.
Pressure and Insulation Resistance: The finished product can withstand up to 1500VAC/1min, with an insulation resistance of ≥500MΩ (500VDC).
