In gas pretreatment, condensate accumulates when handling sample gas. Condensate is always produced when moist sample gas is cooled. On one hand, condensation is undesirable when it causes cold bridges in the sample gas lines. On the other hand, it is necessary to precipitate moisture to protect the measuring elements of the analyzer from damage and/or to stabilize measurement results. Since, in suction mode, the sample gas is typically conveyed by the analysis system, condensate must be removed by pumping. For this purpose, peristaltic pumps are particularly suitable. As required by the system, the sample gas system should be protected from external air ingress, and high durability against often highly corrosive condensates should be provided due to the hose material used.
