Its design structure includes three types: concentric circle type, tube type, and honeycomb type, with the main differences lying in the form of the precipitation electrode, the arrangement of the corona electrode, and the design of the insulation box and feed box.

The electric scraper on the electrode plates periodically cleans the accumulated dust and tar, allowing it to fall into the ash hopper for discharge.
