Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the "2025 Excellence-Level Smart Factory Project Public List," with Benxi Steel Plate's Automotive Sheet Full-Process Control Smart Factory being selected as a "2025 Excellence-Level Smart Factory," highlighting Benxi Steel's strong momentum in intelligent transformation and upgrading. According to the relevant person in charge at Benxi Steel, the company will continue to intensify its exploration and application of smart manufacturing technologies, accelerating digital, networked, and intelligent development to provide a new engine for high-quality growth.
From January to August, Shandong Iron & Steel Group Special Steel Plant's sales of ultra-large specification high-quality special steel with diameters exceeding 310 mm increased by over 150% year-on-year, further capturing the high-end special steel market by leveraging the "rolling instead of forging" process. Traditional forging methods for large-sized components typically involve processing using commercial billets, which is costly, inefficient, and results in unstable quality. By adopting rolling techniques to produce large-sized steel products, the Special Steel Plant has not only significantly reduced downstream users' processing costs but also markedly improved product quality.
Recently, Baotou Steel’s Sheet Plant achieved a milestone with its CSP production line, successfully rolling 120 pieces of 19.95 mm hot-rolled strip in a single casting cycle, yielding 2,400 tons. This marks the first time Baotou Steel’s hot-rolled strip products have broken through the ultra-thick specification limit, following a previous breakthrough in ultra-thin specifications.
On September 20, Xinyu Iron & Steel Group successfully passed audits by the China Iron and Steel Association and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, completing the full-process ultra-low emissions public announcement. It has become the first steel enterprise in Jiangxi Province and currently the only one listed in the full-process ultra-low emissions public announcement.
