Its main component is triethanolamine, which works through the principles of osmosis and capillary action to provide dual effects of cleansing and drainage. It can increase skin blood flow rate, help discharge exudates, and also alter the ratio between interleukin I and interleukin VI, stimulate fibroblast proliferation, and increase collagen synthesis. Clinically, it is used to treat secondary erythema caused by radiotherapy, first-degree and second-degree burns, and non-infected skin wounds. (1) Skin damage caused by radiotherapy: It is recommended to apply 2-3 times a day, with equal intervals between each application, and gently massage for skin absorption. (2) Second-degree burns and other skin wounds: After cleaning the wound, apply a thick layer of the medication on the wound surface, and repeat the application to ensure an adequate amount of medication at the wound site. If necessary, use a moist dressing for bandaging. Do not use dry absorbent dressings for bandaging. (3) First-degree burns: Apply a thick layer until the skin no longer absorbs the medication, and gently massage. Apply 2-4 times a day. Early strength agent, triethanolamine is currently a commonly used early strength agent in China's cement industry. The role of early strength agents is to accelerate the hydration process of cement under the condition of liquid phase presence in concrete, improving early strength. Although triethanolamine does not change the hydration products of cement, it enhances the activity of the colloids generated by cement hydration, creating pressure on the surroundings, blocking capillary channels, intensifying adsorption, wetting, and particle dispersion, and promoting the reaction between C3A and gypsum to form hydrated calcium sulfoaluminate. This can improve the compactness, impermeability, and frost resistance of concrete, playing a role in early strength and strength enhancement. When used in combination with inorganic salt materials, due to its catalytic effect on the hydration of cement itself and the reaction between inorganic salts and cement, the early strength effect is particularly significant.
