I. Product Overview

Ring Main Units (RMUs) in high-load areas are prone to fire accidents. Due to the unique structure of RMUs, external temperature measurement methods cannot accurately detect the temperature of hot spots. To address this, Dingxin Intelligence has developed a built-in plug wireless temperature measurement device. Made from AB epoxy resin material using vacuum cold injection molding technology, it is resistant to deformation at high temperatures (180°C) and is suitable for temperature collection and monitoring in various high-voltage electrical equipment such as ring main units, cable branch boxes, and box-type substations with cable plugs.

II. Main Functions

1.Passive Wireless Monitoring: Utilizes RFID technology, where the transmitter sends energy to passive sensors, which then measure temperature and wirelessly transmit the data back to the host unit;

2.Capable of real-time monitoring of temperatures in busbars, upper and lower circuit breaker contacts, cable joints, etc., within the RMU, promptly detecting heating faults caused by excessive contact resistance due to oxidation, loosening, dust, etc., and issuing alarms;

3.Uses RS485 for short-distance communication and NB-IoT/4G for long-distance wireless communication; a single host unit can control 3 to 256 points;

4.The device supports embedded installation with an opening size of 76mm x 76mm, facilitating on-site inspection and fault localization;

5.No need for batteries, voltage, or current supply; sensor activation and data transmission are achieved through electric field energy harvesting.

IV. Conclusion
