The distribution network cable fault locator adopts a highly reliable and energy-efficient design, primarily consisting of a fault traveling wave sensor, temperature measurement module, timing unit, communication module, control host, and power supply module. It collects line operation and fault information through the traveling wave sensor, transmits it wirelessly via 4G to the central server for data preprocessing, and then uploads the data to the backend master station. The master station analyzes the data using intelligent algorithms and promptly issues fault warnings or diagnostic information to customers, accelerating power restoration and reducing outage losses.

II. Main Functions

1.Data Acquisition: Utilizes a one-host multi-channel structure, capable of simultaneously collecting 7 high-frequency signals (3 high-frequency current traveling waves, 3 fault current traveling waves, 1 voltage traveling wave) and 8 low-frequency signals (3 power frequency currents, 4 ground loop currents, 1 voltage).

2.Fault Location: Based on the dual-end positioning principle, it calculates the fault point location using the arrival time of transient traveling wave surges at the measurement end. The fault ranging accuracy meets within (0.2%*L+5) meters, where L is the cable length.

3.Fault Type Identification: Identifies fault types by analyzing the current traveling wave and power frequency fault current waveform characteristics of phases A, B, and C, providing reference for line maintenance.

4.Clock Synchronization: Uses Beidou/GPS timing combined with a precise sampling synchronization algorithm, with synchronization accuracy not exceeding 20ns.

5. Fault Early Warning: Monitors cable fault current traveling waves to provide early warnings and prevent trip faults.

6.Power Supply Method: Employs solar and CT power extraction for power supply, supports external mains power access, with a battery capacity of 20Ah.
