Origin Introduction:

Macheng City is located in the northeastern part of Hubei Province, at the junction of Hubei, Henan, and Anhui provinces, between 114°40′–115°28′ east longitude and 30°52′–31°36′ north latitude. The region features a subtropical continental humid monsoon climate with a Jianghuai microclimate zone, characterized by four distinct seasons, abundant sunlight, rich heat, ample precipitation, and a long frost-free period. The microclimate area along the Jushui River is suitable for growing "Macheng Chili," with an area of 150,000 mu dedicated to its cultivation.

Product Introduction:

1. Macheng Chili has typical characteristics such as uniform appearance, bright color, thin skin, thick flesh, and a rich chili aroma. The fruit is approximately 25 cm in length, 5 cm in diameter, with a flesh thickness of 0.3–0.4 cm, and a single fruit weight of about 140 g.

2. Macheng Chili has a refreshing and pleasant fragrance, rich in protein, amino acids, vitamin C, β-carotene, folic acid, capsaicin, magnesium, potassium, zinc, selenium, and various other minerals essential for the human body. Testing has revealed that it contains up to 1.96% soluble sugar, which is 0.5% higher than ordinary chilies, and only 1.4% cellulose, which is 0.1% lower than ordinary chilies.
