I. Product Performance
EDTMPS Ethylenediamine Tetramethylene Phosphonic Sodium is a nitrogen-containing organic polyphosphonic acid, belonging to the cathodic type corrosion inhibitor, with a corrosion inhibition rate 3-5 times higher than that of inorganic polyphosphates. It is miscible with water, has good chemical stability and temperature resistance, and maintains good scale inhibition effect even at 200°C. EDTMPS can dissociate into 8 positive and negative ions in aqueous solution, thus it can chelate with multiple metal ions to form a macromolecular network complex with multiple monomer structures, which is loosely dispersed in water, disrupting the normal crystallization of calcium scale. EDTMPS has good scale inhibition effect on calcium sulfate and barium sulfate scale.

III. Uses
As an organic polyphosphonic acid, EDTMPS has excellent chelating properties and is widely used as a corrosion and scale inhibitor in circulating cooling water and boiler water, a complexing agent in cyanide-free electroplating, and a chelating agent and oxygen bleaching stabilizer in the textile printing and dyeing industry.
When EDTMPS is added alone in circulating cooling water, the general dosage is 2-10ml/L. It can be compounded with HPMA in a ratio of 1:3 for low-pressure boiler water treatment. EDTMPS can also be used in combination with BTA, PAAS, zinc salts, etc.
IV. Packaging and Storage
EDTMPS is packaged in plastic drums, with a net weight of 25 kg per drum. It should be stored in a cool, ventilated indoor place with a storage period of six months.
V. Safety Protection
EDTMPS is weakly alkaline. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, or clothing. In case of splashing, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
