962-Portable 0/45 Spectrophotometer

Measurement Functions and Indices
The 962 portable 0/45 spectrophotometer provides absolute and difference values for the following colorimetric systems, which can be expressed using nine light sources and 2° or 10° standard observers: CIE XYZ, CIE Yxy, CIE LAB, Hunter LAB, CIE LCH, CMC, and CIE94; whiteness and yellowness according to ASTM E313-98; metamerism index; and DIN 6172.

Special "Project" Mode
Users can also use the project function to classify and store different standards.

Pass/Fail Mode
The 962 stores 1,024 standards and allows tolerance settings for convenient pass/fail measurements. Red/green LED indicators and LCD text display facilitate easy reading of test results. The 962 also emits an audible alert for failed measurements or completed tests.

Interchangeable Measurement Aperture
The measurement aperture can be switched among 4mm, 7mm, or 15mm. This feature allows operators to quickly adjust the measurement area based on sample size.

Inter-Instrument Agreement
The 962 boasts excellent inter-instrument agreement—crucial for applications using multiple instruments for color control. It is highly compatible with X-Rite's 968 0/45 spectrophotometer, and both can input data into X-Rite's Windows-based color quality control software or computer color matching software.

Hiding Power, Color Strength, and Color Light Classification
The 962 can measure hiding power and three types of color strength (apparent, chromatic, and tristimulus). It also features 555 color light classification. These are important control parameters in color quality control for industries such as plastics, coatings, and textiles.

Ergonomic Design for User Convenience
The instrument comes with a wrist strap and a comfortable handheld design for easy portability and use. The large screen clearly displays data for easy viewing. The included rechargeable battery pack allows for use in workshops or outdoors, expanding the instrument's application scope.
