036-1, 036-2 Oil-Resistant Anti-Corrosion Coating

1. Product Use and Performance Characteristics

036-1 and 036-2 coatings are widely used for internal protection of various finished oil tanks, oil pipelines, sewage tanks, sewage pipelines, and various indoor steel structures.

Since its introduction, this product has been used for many years, proving stable and reliable performance with an anti-corrosion period of over ten years, earning widespread user praise and trust.

Performance characteristics of this product:

(1) Good chemical stability—The dried coating film is stable in performance, especially with excellent resistance to oil, water (seawater, tap water, distilled water, crude oil sewage), and oil-water mixtures;

(2) Excellent mechanical properties—After curing, the coating film has good adhesion, flexibility, wear resistance, and impact resistance;

(3) Multiple tests have shown that the coating film does not affect oil quality;

(4) Easy to use—036-1 (iron red) is used as the primer, and 036-2 (white) is used as the topcoat, with good compatibility. Due to the use of a new curing agent, it has low toxicity and a wide adaptability to construction temperatures, allowing application at high temperatures and curing at low temperatures (0°C);

(5) Good storage stability—The paint itself is chemically stable and contains an anti-settling agent, making it less prone to caking or deterioration during long-term storage and easy to stir and mix.

2. Coating Composition:(Divided into primer and topcoat, each consisting of two components, A and B)

4. Usage Ratio and Packaging

The ratio between the components of this coating is determined through research and extensive comparative testing. For convenience, the product is packaged in proportional sets when leaving the factory.

5. Construction Method

1) Surface Preparation

To improve the anti-corrosion effect of the coating, remove old paint films, rust, oil stains, scale, and debris from the substrate surface before painting.

2) Specific Requirements:

(1) For rust removal by shot blasting or sandblasting, the quality should reach Sa2.5 grade (GB8923-88).

(2) For manual rust removal, the quality should reach St3 grade (GB8923-88).

(3) Before painting, remove surface oil stains, dust, and other impurities. The cleaned steel plate should be painted promptly to prevent re-rusting.

3) Paint Mixing

(1) If the coating has been stored for a long time, sedimentation may occur. Stir thoroughly before use.

(2) After opening and stirring evenly, pour Component B (small drum) into Component A (large drum) and mix well before use.

(3) For smaller quantities, mix according to the ratio of Components A and B.

4) Painting

(1) Application can be done by brushing, rolling, or spraying. Ensure the coating is uniform in thickness, without missed spots or sagging, and meets the specified thickness. Under normal temperature conditions, apply one coat every 4 hours.

(3) After each painting session, promptly clean brushes and other tools with thinner for future use. If spraying is used, it is even more important to clean tools and hoses with thinner promptly to prevent clogging after the coating cures.

6. Precautions

1) The coating contains organic solvents. Ensure ventilation at the construction site, strictly prohibit open flames, and use explosion-proof lights for illumination.

2) Store the coating in a cool, ventilated, and dry place.

3) Wear protective masks during operation, and avoid prolonged working hours.
