Operating Procedure:

1. Water Supply: Untreated water passes through the resin layer, where an exchange reaction occurs to produce soft water.

2. Backwash: Water enters from the bottom of the resin layer to loosen the resin and remove fine debris.

3. Brine Regeneration: A high-concentration brine solution flows through the resin to restore the exhausted resin back to usable sodium-form resin.

4. Rinse: Water follows the same flow path as during the supply phase to rinse away excess brine and the calcium and magnesium ions displaced during regeneration.

5. Brine Tank Refill: Water is added to the brine tank to dissolve salt pellets for the next regeneration cycle.

Control Methods:

1. Time-Based Control: Suitable for applications with relatively stable daily water consumption. The regeneration process automatically starts when the user-set regeneration time is reached. The regeneration time can be set during off-peak hours as needed. This control method is characterized by simplicity, low cost, and ease of operation. It is mainly used in scenarios with low hardness, stable water consumption (fluctuation not exceeding 15%), low requirements for water quality, and small water usage.

2. Flow-Based Control: The operation of this equipment is measured by a flow meter. When the set water volume is reached, regeneration automatically starts. The set water volume is calculated based on the total operating exchange capacity of the exchanger and the hardness equivalent of the inlet water. This system offers high accuracy, stable and reliable output, and features a memory function that retains settings after a power outage without requiring reconfiguration.
