Fully automatic water softener, also known as soft water treatment equipment, is a device that uses the ion exchange principle to remove scaling ions such as calcium and magnesium from water.

Application Scope:

Soft water equipment can be widely used for softening the feed water in systems such as steam boilers, hot water boilers, exchangers, evaporative condensers, air conditioners, and direct-fired engines. Working Principle:

Water hardness is mainly caused by cations: calcium (Ca2+) and magnesium (Mg2+) ions. When raw water containing hardness ions passes through the ion exchange resin layer, the calcium and magnesium ions in the water exchange with the sodium ions in the resin. The resin adsorbs the calcium and magnesium ions, while sodium ions enter the water, resulting in softened water that has had the hardness ions removed. As the exchange process continues, once all the Na+ in the resin is replaced, it loses its exchange function. At this point, the resin must be regenerated using a NaCl solution to replace the adsorbed Ca2+ and Mg2+ ions. The resin re-adsorbs sodium ions and restores its softening exchange capacity.
