1. Certification Introduction

SII is the English abbreviation for the Standards Institution of Israel. SII is responsible for standardization development, product testing, and product certification in Israel. All electronic and electrical products exported to Israel must obtain SII certification.

As the first country in the Middle East to become an NCB, SII accepts the IECEE's Mutual Recognition Arrangement for electrical product testing certificates. When applying for SII certification, corresponding factory inspections must be conducted, and the product packaging and colors must also comply with the religious requirements of Arab countries.

2. Product Scope

According to the "Standardization Law," Israel categorizes products into four levels based on the potential harm they may pose to public health and safety, implementing different management measures:

Class I: Products with the highest risk to public health and safety, such as household appliances, children's toys, pressure vessels, and portable fire extinguishers.

Class II: Products with a moderate potential risk to public health and safety, including sunglasses, balls for various purposes, installation pipes, carpets, bottles, and building materials.

Class III: Products with a low risk to public health and safety, including tiles, ceramic sanitary ware, etc.

Class IV: Products intended solely for industrial use and not directly facing consumers, such as industrial electronic products.

Mainly covered electronic and electrical products: household appliances, cables, wires, instrument switches and automatic switching devices, complete equipment and junction devices, lighting technology products, adjustment and protection equipment, low-voltage control devices, small-power transformers, welding equipment, personal computers and laptops, chemical supply sources, small and medium-sized motors, measuring tools, electronic instrument equipment, gaming consoles, information technology equipment and office equipment, cinematographic technology equipment and tools, radio communication, radio broadcasting, television equipment, communication and fax equipment, low-voltage complete equipment, high-voltage equipment, electric heating equipment, etc.
