1. Certification Introduction

Switzerland is a non-EU country and has not adopted the EU's CE system for product certification; therefore, Swiss product regulations have their own requirements. The Swiss Electrotechnical Association SEV (Schweizerischer Elektrotechnischer Verein) is the national certification body in Switzerland. According to the Low Voltage Electrical Equipment Ordinance, low-voltage electrical equipment entering Switzerland must undergo mandatory certification and bear the S+ safety mark. For low-voltage electrical equipment outside the scope of mandatory certification, a voluntary safety mark may be applied based on test reports if requested by the client. When applying for Swiss certification, special attention must be paid to the use of the applicant's trademark. The applicant's trademark will be registered in the Swiss certificate query system to regulate various goods entering Switzerland.

3. Certification Documents

(1) Application form

(2) Including CB certificate and report, or other certificates and test reports issued by foreign laboratories (the EMC report must display the report number for future reference to the S+ certificate)

(3) Test reports or recognition marks of components

(4) Operating manual, technical specifications, design drawings, circuit diagrams, complete charts, user manuals, and photos in English

(5) Labels containing the Swiss safety mark and the holder's or identification code

(6) Declaration of product conformity, etc.

(7) Swiss plug data (if applicable)
