1. Certification Introduction

MET (MET Laboratories, Inc) is the abbreviation for Maryland Electrical Testing. Established in 1959 in Maryland, USA (US headquarters), it was the first Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL). It specializes in product testing technology and certification. US laboratories are located in Baltimore (Maryland), Santa Clara (California, Silicon Valley), Union City (California, Silicon Valley), Austin (Texas), with US branches in North Carolina, Chicago, and Detroit.

2. Applicable Regions

The MET certification mark is applicable to the US and Canadian markets: the MET mark with C-US indicates that the product has been tested and complies with applicable standards in the US and Canada, allowing it to enter both markets simultaneously.

3. Applicable Product Range

The MET safety certification mark holds the same validity as the UL mark in North America. MET can conduct testing and certification recognized by the US and Canadian governments for various electrical products, including electronics, household appliances, telecommunications equipment, medical devices, power tools, etc.

4. Application Process

(1) The customer fills out the application form, and MET provides a quotation.

(2) The customer returns the signed quotation.

(3) MET provides application documents and related forms.

(4) The customer pays the fee.

(5) Product compliance guidance.

(6) The customer submits all required application documents and samples.

(7) MET initiates testing and provides an account and password for project tracking.

(8) Testing concludes, and documents are verified.

(9) Initial factory inspection.

(10) Issuance of certificates and reports.

5. Application Documents

(1) Circuit Schematic: Electrical schematic diagram, PCB layout diagram.

(2) Construction Diagram: Product structure diagram, internal diagram.

(3) Product Manual: Product manual, preferably with images.

(4) BOM: Bill of Materials for key product components.
