Using polyethylene terephthalate as the raw material, thick sheets are produced by extrusion and then biaxially stretched to create a film material. It is a colorless, transparent, and glossy film with excellent mechanical properties, high rigidity, hardness, and toughness, puncture resistance, abrasion resistance, resistance to high and low temperatures, good chemical resistance, oil resistance, gas barrier properties, and aroma retention. It is one of the commonly used barrier composite film base materials. It is often used as the outer layer material for retort packaging.
