An essential prerequisite for achieving high strength in filament-wound products is to ensure that each bundle of fibers is subjected to uniform tension. This means that when the container is under internal pressure, all fibers bear the load simultaneously. If some fibers are loose while others are tight, they cannot all bear the load at the same time during pressurization, which will impair the effectiveness of the fiber strength. The magnitude of tension also directly affects the resin content, density, and porosity of the product. An unreasonable tension system can cause fiber wrinkling and lead to yielding of the liner, severely compromising the container's strength and fatigue performance.   The winding tension should be gradually reduced layer by layer. This is because the tension applied to subsequently wound layers will compress the previously wound layers along with the liner, causing the inner fibers to become loose. If a constant tension system is used, the fibers in the container will end up loose on the inside and tight on the outside, resulting in significant differences in initial stress between the inner and outer fibers. During pressurization, the fibers will not bear the load uniformly and simultaneously. In severe cases, this can cause the inner fibers to wrinkle, the liner to blister or deform, and even lead to yielding. Such issues will greatly reduce the container's strength and fatigue performance. By adopting a gradually decreasing tension system layer by layer, although the subsequently wound fibers still reduce the tension in the earlier layers, their own tension is smaller, matching the reduced tension of the previous layer. This ensures that all winding layers, from the inside to the outside, have the same deformation and initial tension. When the container is pressurized, the fibers can bear the load simultaneously, thereby enhancing the container's strength and allowing the fiber strength to be more effectively utilized.
