Conductive coatings are designed to reduce or prevent static charges and their effects. The anti-static, static dissipative, and conductive coatings on integrated circuit packaging trays can prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) from damaging sensitive electronic components through their coating applications.

They can be classified into aqueous dispersions, aqueous formulations, and solvent-based types.

Coated integrated circuit, display, or sensor module packaging trays protect sensitive electronic components from ESD damage. The coating also blocks dust and other particles. Additionally, the coating is clear and transparent, allowing for visual inspection of components within the packaging tray.

They can also be used in non-electronic fields, such as cleanroom windows, instrument casings, specialty paper, photographic film, glass coatings, construction and building materials, release coatings, labels, etc. In explosive environments, static electricity generated on parts or equipment can lead to catastrophic consequences. They help prevent the accumulation of static charges, enhancing safety.

Suitable for most plastics: polycarbonate (PC), polyethylene (PE), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyamide (PA), and polypropylene (PP).It is recommended to perform surface activation via corona or plasmatreatment before coating to enhance adhesion to the substrate. Priming the substrate is also a good option.
