Industrial Coatings Field

1. Heat-resistant Varnish/Gloss Oil: SMA resin has a higher heat deformation temperature, 20-30°C higher than PS, AS, and ABS, making it suitable for preparing heat-resistant varnishes and gloss oils that maintain stable performance in high-temperature environments.
2. Hot Stamping Film Coloring Layer Coatings: With its excellent film-forming properties, gloss, and compatibility with other materials, it can be used in hot stamping film coloring layer coatings to improve the quality and performance of the hot stamping film.
3. Emulsion Polymers: It can be used to prepare heat-resistant emulsion polymers, alkali- and water-resistant cationic emulsion polymers, water-resistant ultra-fine particle size wax emulsions and rosin emulsions, as well as water-resistant floor polish emulsions. In these emulsion systems, it acts as a compatibilizer and stabilizer.

Plastic Modification Field

1. Alloy Compatibilizer: As a compatibilizer for engineering plastic alloys, the maleic anhydride groups in SMA resin can react with the end groups (amino, carboxyl, or hydroxyl groups) of nylon and polycarbonate molecules to form PA-g-SMA or PC-g-SMA graft copolymers. It also has good compatibility with ABS-type engineering resins or impact modifiers, making it suitable as a compatibilizer for PA/ABS or PC/ABS alloys. The recommended addition amount is 2-8%.
2. Recycled Nylon Regeneration: It helps improve the performance of recycled nylon, enabling the reuse of nylon materials, reducing costs and resource waste.

Other Fields

1. Improving Adhesion: It can enhance adhesion to low surface energy materials, playing an important role in applications requiring improved inter-material adhesion.
2. Color Paste Dispersion, etc.: It can also be applied in color paste dispersants, pigment surface treatment, electronic materials, cleaning agents, leather, functional plastics, papermaking, powder coatings, and other fields. In electronic materials, it may utilize its insulation and chemical stability properties; in cleaning agents, it may function due to its compatibility and chemical stability with various substances.
3. Injection Molding or Extrusion: Xiran SMA grades can be supplied in pellet form for injection molding or extrusion. Typical paint mixing rates range from 20-40 wt% SMA, with up to 60% used depending on application requirements. Compounding can be performed on most conventional equipment with good temperature control.
