Anti-microwave goggles are protective glasses worn in workplaces where microwave radiation intensity exceeds standard levels. They consist of filter lenses and a frame. These glasses effectively block electromagnetic waves such as microwave radiation and blue light radiation.
The filter lenses of anti-microwave glasses use ordinary transparent materials as the lens, with a semi-conductive tin oxide (SnO2) film coated on the inner surface to reflect frontal microwaves.
The frame is made of microwave-absorbing plastic, designed with wide sides and embedded with fine copper wire mesh with good conductivity to reflect side microwaves. These goggles achieve a reflection and absorption effect of up to 20dB for microwave radiation in the 3–5cm wavelength range.
Additionally, copper wires with a diameter of 0.07–0.14mm can be used to create a mesh of 560–180 holes per square centimeter. Goggles made with this mesh can prevent microwave radiation and reflection. There are also face shields made of aluminum-coated organic glass, offering microwave protection of 15–30dB.

GB10436-89 stipulates that the average power density of microwave radiation permitted at the operator's position must meet the following standards:
1. Continuous wave: 8-hour exposure is 50 μW/cm2; for exposures less or greater than 8 hours, the daily dose must not exceed 400 μW·h/cm2.
2. Pulsed wave (fixed radiation): 8-hour exposure is 25 μW/cm2; for exposures less or greater than 8 hours, the daily dose must not exceed 200 μW·h/cm2.
3. Local limb radiation (no distinction between continuous and pulsed waves): 8-hour exposure is 500 μW/cm2; for exposures less or greater than 8 hours, the daily dose must not exceed 400 μW·h/cm2.
4. Short-term exposure: When working in environments with radiation intensity greater than 1 mW/cm2, in addition to calculating exposure time based on the permissible daily dose, personal protective equipment must be used. However, the maximum radiation intensity at the operator's position must not exceed 5 mW/cm2.
