Standard for Protection Against Mechanical Risks: EN388
This standard applies to all gloves resistant to physical and mechanical damage, such as abrasion, cutting, puncture, and tearing. It does not apply to anti-vibration gloves.
Performance Ratings:
? Puncture resistance (0 to 4): Force required to penetrate the sample with a standard spike
? Tear resistance (0 to 4): Force required to tear the sample
? Blade cut resistance (0 to 5): Number of cycles required to cut through the sample at a constant speed
? Abrasion resistance (0 to 4): Number of cycles required to wear through the sample at a constant speed
