STC provides 95/28/EC European automotive interior materials - fire resistance testing!
Directive 95/28/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 October 1995 relating to the burning behaviour of materials used in the interior construction of certain categories of motor vehicle. European Directive 95/28/EC: Combustion performance testing of passenger vehicle interior materials.
To ensure safety during vehicle use, interior materials are generally required to be flame-retardant. This means that interior materials either possess non-combustible properties. If a particular interior material is combustible, it must meet specific flame-retardant performance requirements.
