In the early stages of a fire, it thermally activates quickly and automatically, distributing water with a specific impulse in a defined shape and density over the designed protection area. It is a fire-suppression sprinkler head designed for early fire suppression. With its fast-response fusible alloy, large orifice diameter, and sizable deflector, its Response Time Index (RTI) is ≤28±8 (m·s)^0.5, offering advantages such as rapid fire response and high water flow rates. It is specifically designed to combat high-hazard warehouse fires and is used to protect high-pile and high-rack storage warehouses, as well as warehouses storing plastic products and mixed commodities.

III. Storage, Installation, Usage, and Maintenance Precautions for Early Suppression Fast Response (ESFR) Sprinkler K202 (Upright):

1. Sprinkler heads should be stored in a dry environment between -15°C and 40°C and must not be used in environments below 4°C.

2. During installation, it is recommended to use polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) seal tape on the threaded connections between the sprinkler and pipe fittings. Pipe fittings should comply with national standards.

3. Installation must be performed using the appropriate wrench socket provided by the manufacturer for the sprinkler head, ensuring correct usage as shown in the figure below. The tightening torque for the sprinkler head is 10-20 N·m, and must not exceed 25 N·m. After installation, ensure they are neatly arranged to prevent damage from impact.

4. Sprinkler heads should be kept clean; painting or coating them with paint or other materials is strictly prohibited.

5. Sprinkler heads awaiting installation should be stored in the foam protective boxes provided by the manufacturer. Construction personnel must not use other containers, such as safety helmets or paint buckets, for storage or handling.

6. Handling sprinkler heads must be done gently; throwing, grabbing, or pouring them is not allowed. The fusible alloy element must not be subjected to impact.
