It is not affected by other cations.

It can also be used for removing calcium from potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, lithium hydroxide solutions, and ammonia water to remove calcium ions. It is not affected by other cations.

It can be integrated into chlor-alkali systems, potassium alkali systems, etc., for the refining of secondary brine to remove calcium and magnesium.
