Magnesium alloy sacrificial anode - pre-packaged anode: (including high potential and low potential) is the final product of cast anodes and can be directly applied in engineering construction.

Cathodic Protection Material 22kg Magnesium Anode Magnesium anodes have high driving voltage, low current efficiency, and high cost. Depending on the shape and electrode potential (open-circuit potential), magnesium anodes can be used in soil or freshwater environments with resistivity ranging from 15 ohm-m to 150 ohm-m. They are generally not used in environments with soil resistivity less than 10 ohm-m. The potential of high-potential magnesium anodes is -1.75V CSE, with a driving voltage of 0.85V; the potential of low-potential magnesium anodes is -1.55V CSE, with a driving voltage of 0.7V. The operating temperature can reach 100°C. When the remaining amount of the sacrificial anode is 15% of the initial weight, the anode is considered to have failed, so the utilization rate of the anode is generally taken as 85%. Building on the traditional anode and supplemented with assembly accessories, this new concept anode product makes customer construction more convenient and time-saving, better meeting customer needs.

Cathodic Protection Material 22kg Magnesium Anode Backfill: 75% gypsum, 20% bentonite, 5% sodium sulfate, thoroughly mixed in a mixing tank. The use of backfill allows for higher output current efficiency of the anode, retains moisture, reduces the anode's grounding resistance, and ensures uniform corrosion on the anode surface, improving anode efficiency. The weight of the backfill can be adjusted according to customer requirements. The size, weight, and shape of the packaged anode can be customized according to customer needs.

Construction Instructions and Requirements for Sacrificial Anode Kits and Related Supporting Products

Cathodic Protection Material 22kg Magnesium Anode Installation Methods and Requirements for Sacrificial Anodes

1、The burial depth of the cable connected to the sacrificial anode kit (hereinafter referred to as the anode) should be no less than 0.7 meters. When laying the cable, allow some extra length.

2、When connecting the anode cable joint to the pipeline, thermite welding technology should be used.

3、Before welding, clean the welding point on the pipeline to expose the metal surface.

4、After welding, the welding point should be re-treated for anti-corrosion and strictly follow the drawing requirements.

5、After placing the anode cotton cloth bag into the anode pit, pour sufficient water (the outer nylon packaging bag should be discarded) to fully soak it.

6、The burial location of the anode should be no less than 0.3 meters away from the pipeline.

7、The anode should be buried below the frost line.

8、When burying an anode group (referring to connecting more than one set of anodes at a single connection point on the pipeline), the distance between anodes should be about 2 meters.

9、When backfilling after anode burial, compact and water every 20–30 cm of backfill. Continue backfilling and compacting after the water has seeped away. Ensure the backfill material is saturated, level the ground, and restore the landscape.

10、There should be no metal structures between the anode burial location and the pipeline.

11、If a long section of the protected pipeline is encased in concrete, which may cause a drop in potential, add one set of sacrificial anodes at each end of the concrete-encased section to compensate.
