Additionally, methyl bromide is extensively used in the chemical, pharmaceutical, pesticide, and fragrance industries. Methylene dithiocyanate, as a broad-spectrum and highly effective bactericide, strongly inhibits and kills many bacteria, fungi, yeasts, and algae by suppressing respiratory enzyme systems. It is widely used as a water treatment agent, industrial mildew inhibitor, pesticide, and fish medicine.
