Pluracol V 5 Polyalkylene Glycol Thickener is a viscous thickener composed of polyalkylene glycol; the quality of this product meets the requirements specified in the table below:

 

 

　　This product is easily soluble in water and water-glycol mixed solutions, exhibiting excellent film-forming properties and lubricity. It possesses reversible solubility in water.

 

　　Pluracol V 5 Polyalkylene Glycol Thickener is a viscous, high molecular weight liquid used as a thickener in water-glycol fire-resistant hydraulic fluids. Its application is based on low volatility and high viscosity, and includes the following areas: water-based hydraulic fluids, polymer-type quenchants, high-temperature lubricants, and water-based lubricants.

　　For fire-resistant hydraulic fluids: Hydraulic fluids incorporating Pluracol V 5 offer additional significant advantages. These water-glycol solutions exhibit Newtonian rheological properties similar to petroleum lubricating oils, are non-thixotropic, non-dilatant, non-viscous or non-sticky, possess extremely high viscosity indices, do not separate under normal use and storage conditions, respond to anti-corrosion additives (Pluracol V 5 itself is non-corrosive), and respond to anti-wear agents to enhance the lubricating characteristics of Pluracol V 5; thus, they are suitable for water-glycol type fire-resistant hydraulic fluids.

　　For quenchants: Pluracol V 5 thickener dissolves in cold water and separates from water at temperatures above approximately 75°C (reversible solubility). In metal quenchant formulations, the unique ability of Pluracol V 5 thickener to separate from the solution allows the thickener to coat the metal surface, resulting in a controlled cooling rate necessary to achieve desired properties in the metal. As a polymer-type quenchant, it is primarily used in combination with Pluracol V-10 to control quenching speed.

 

　　This product is packaged in 204 kg iron drums. The packaging containers are labeled with the product name, specifications, production batch number, net weight, and manufacturer name.

 

 V. Transportation and Storage

 　　Handle with care during transportation to avoid impact.

　　 This product should be stored in a well-ventilated, dry, and cool place. In sealed original packaging containers, the product has a shelf life of 24 months. If the product has been stored for more than 2 years, it is recommended to test and analyze the material to confirm its quality before use.

 

 　　Over more than 10 years of commercial use, our employees and users have not encountered any toxicity issues with this product.
