Sokalan CP 10 S is a modified polyacrylic acid. The quality of this product meets the technical requirements listed in the table below:

 

 

This product is miscible with water in any proportion (including seawater) and also soluble in mixtures of water and water-soluble solvents. It has low residual monomers and stable physical properties. The product is non-toxic and has been certified by KIWA-ATA and NSF (USA). It disperses microcrystals or sediments of salts such as calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, and calcium sulfate in water without precipitation, controlling scale formation in desalination units and keeping fouling on membranes in a free state, thereby achieving scale inhibition. When used in combination with organic phosphonates, organic phosphates, and polyphosphates, it exhibits good synergistic effects and can operate under alkaline and high concentration conditions without scaling. The product has low acute toxicity, is non-irritating, and shows no sensitization tendency. According to EU chemical regulations, it is classified as a non-hazardous substance. It is not highly toxic to marine life, and the discharge of concentrated water after desalination does not pollute the environment.

 

This product is used as a dispersant for organic and inorganic solids in water treatment processes, inhibiting agglomeration and redeposition while enhancing detergency. It effectively inhibits scale formation caused by calcium sulfate, calcium carbonate, calcium silicate, etc., which are the main sources of scaling in RO, NF, and UF processes. It has high scale inhibition efficiency and does not form insoluble polymers with residual organic flocculants. For RO processes, this product offers excellent scale inhibition and dispersion performance. The produced water is potable (approved and certified for European drinking water treatment production).

The typical dosage in reverse osmosis processes is 2.5–3.5 ppm. The exact dosage depends on the quality of the feed water.

This product is also suitable for use as a scale inhibitor and dispersant in recirculating cooling water systems such as power plants, chemical plants, fertilizer plants, refineries, and air conditioning systems. Specific formulations and dosages should be determined through testing based on onsite water quality and equipment materials.

 

This product is packaged in 250 kg plastic drums. The packaging containers are labeled with the product name, specifications, net weight, batch number, and manufacturer name.

 

This product should be stored sealed in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated area. The shelf life in the original sealed packaging is at least 18 months. Storage temperatures above 25°C may cause an increase in color number but do not affect performance. Handle with care during transportation to avoid impact.
