I. Purpose

This instrument is used in conjunction with a measuring weir tank, primarily for measuring the flow rate at sewage discharge outlets of wastewater treatment plants, enterprises, institutions, and urban sewer systems. Since this instrument employs ultrasonic waves passing through air for non-contact measurement, it offers higher reliability compared to other measurement forms in cases of contaminated or corrosive liquids.

This instrument has data storage functionality. In addition to storing the flow records of this instrument, it can also accept (4–20) mA signals from other instruments. The stored records can be viewed via the keys on the instrument or transmitted through RS-485 remote communication.

II. Composition and Dimensions of the Instrument

1. Composition of the Instrument

This product mainly consists of the instrument and the probe part (key components include: computer board, display board, LCD screen, liquid level sensor (probe)).

Note: In the application of ultrasonic open channel flow meters, it must be used in conjunction with a measuring weir tank. This product does not provide a measuring weir tank. In application, based on the conditions of the site, refer to Chapter 7 of this manual or other materials to construct it yourself.

1.  Flow range: 0 m3/s to 10 m3/s (determined by the type and specification of the matching measuring weir tank)

2.  Cumulative flow: 8-digit decimal number, automatically resets to zero and restarts after reaching 8 digits

3.  Accuracy: ±5%

4.  Distance measurement range: 0.4 m to 2 m (0.4 m from the bottom of the probe is the blind zone; 0.4 m to 2 m is the measurement range)

5.  Distance measurement accuracy: ±3 mm (calibrated result within a 1 m range)

6.  Liquid level resolution: 1 mm

7.  Operating environment temperature: -20°C to 55°C

8.  Instrument protection level: Display part: IP66 (the wiring holes at the lower part of the instrument must be sealed); Probe part: IP68

9.  Power supply:

AC power supply: (220 V ± 22 V) 6 W

DC power supply: 12 V–24 V 300 mA

When both AC and DC (not exceeding 24 V) power supplies are present, the instrument uses AC power; if AC power fails, it automatically switches to DC.
