Outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking.
Corrosion Resistance of Hastelloy C-276:
C276 alloy is suitable for various chemical processing industries containing oxidizing and reducing media. The high molybdenum and chromium content enables the alloy to resist chloride ion attack, and tungsten further enhances its corrosion resistance. C276 is one of the few materials capable of resisting corrosion from wet chlorine, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide solutions. This alloy exhibits significant corrosion resistance to high concentrations of chloride salt solutions (such as ferric chloride and cupric chloride).
Hastelloy C-276Application Scope and Fields:
C276 alloy is widely used in the chemical and petrochemical industries, such as in components and catalytic systems exposed to chlorinated organic compounds. This material is particularly suitable for use in high-temperature environments, mixed with impurities, inorganic and organic acids (such as formic acid and acetic acid), and seawater corrosion environments.
