For products with different shapes, materials, or requirements such as cold resistance, heat resistance, foam, solid body, or special properties, they can fully meet design and usage needs.

The dust curtain is an effective tool for blocking dust generated during roadway excavation or working face mining. Its installation must match the shape of the roadway. If the roadway is semi-circular arched, the dust curtain should be made in a semi-circular arched shape; if the roadway is trapezoidal, the dust curtain should be made trapezoidal. The installation of the dust curtain requires full coverage of the roadway cross-section, with a certain distance between the spray and the dust curtain.

Installation Requirements for Dust Curtains in Material Guide Chutes

1. The dust curtain for the material guide chute should be constructed with a frame that matches the cross-sectional shape of the roadway, fixed around the perimeter of the roadway.

2. The dust curtain should be fixed to the frame to cover the entire cross-section, ensuring normal use without being blown up.

3. The installation location of the dust curtain: for excavation faces, it should be no more than 50 meters from the working face; for mining faces, it should be no more than 30 meters from the intake and return airways, with two dust curtains installed at each location.

4. The distance between the water curtain and the dust curtain should be between 400–500 mm, with the water spray directed opposite to the airflow.

5. Avoid installation in areas with conveyor belts.

6. The dust curtain should be openable and closable in areas where irrigation is applied. Close it promptly after use.

7. During blasting, rock loading, coal loading, and drilling, close the dust curtain and turn on the spray. Some users of belt conveyors, to save costs, use belts or rubber plates instead of dust curtains to seal the material guide chute. The rubber conveyor belts or plates are cut into strips at equal intervals. The drawbacks of this method are that the belts or plates are too hard, too wide, have large gaps, are heavy, cannot closely contact the material on the conveyor belt, fail to achieve ideal dust control, are inconvenient to install and remove, and perform poorly in practical use.

The dust curtain for the material guide chute is a dust control device for material guide chutes, belonging to the field of dust control technology. The dust curtain uses multiple parallel rubber strips fixed together as a whole through a top mounting bracket, usually in a multi-layer structure. Fixed above the material guide chute, the lower part of the dust curtain naturally hangs inside the chute, forming multi-stage dust removal and avoiding the poor dust control effect of traditional rubber strips. The dust curtain can also be made of polyurethane material for better wear resistance, extended service life, and reduced production costs.
