There are three main methods for dust explosion protection: venting, isolation, and suppression.
Venting: Releases explosion pressure in advance through a pressure relief device to protect equipment from damage.
Isolation: Prevents flame propagation using an explosion isolation valve.
Suppression: Detects sparks with a detection device, then activates a fire extinguishing system to instantly suppress the fire and prevent an explosion.

Explosion vent panels are widely used in industries such as grain, metallurgy, chemical, power, light industry, pharmaceuticals, tobacco, machining, and solid waste treatment. Applicable equipment includes cyclone separators, bag dust collectors, dust collectors, cartridge filters, pneumatic conveying systems, rod or ball mills, bucket elevators, dryers and ovens, roller mills, and buildings. They are primarily used in low-pressure,常溫 environments with large venting area requirements, such as dust collectors, dust collection pipelines, and elevators.

In the past, explosion vent panels were commonly installed on dust collectors to release overpressure caused by dust explosions. However, such installations indoors are not permitted by safety regulations because they endanger surrounding personnel and equipment. The pressure wave and flames from an explosion may cause secondary or multiple explosions, posing greater risks. Therefore, relying solely on explosion vent panels for dust collectors is not reliable. We recommend using flameless venting + isolation technology (a more economical solution) or suppression + isolation technology to ensure production safety.
