The flameless venting device consists of two parts—an explosion-proof panel and a fire extinguishing module. The explosion-proof panel responds rapidly to rising deflagration pressure, opening immediately to reduce pressure. As the expanding fireball passes through the open panel, it is intercepted by the fire extinguishing module. The stainless steel precision mesh, supported by a frame, acts as a three-dimensional flame trap, extinguishing flames to prevent propagation and avoid secondary or multiple explosions. The fire extinguishing module eliminates deflagration flames, reduces the temperature of hot gases, and captures both burning and unburned dust passing through the open explosion-proof panel.

Simultaneously, pressure waves or noise generated by production equipment are minimized. When flames pass through the mesh flame arrestor, heat exchange occurs between the arrestor and the flames, rapidly cooling the high-temperature flames, venting pressure and smoke, while also reducing pressure waves or noise from production equipment.

Application Fields:

Widely used in industries such as grain, metallurgy, chemicals, power, light industry, tobacco, pharmaceuticals, machining, and solid waste treatment. Applicable equipment includes cyclone separators, bag dust collectors, dust collectors, cartridge filters, pneumatic conveying systems, rod or ball mills, bucket elevators, dryers and ovens, roller grinding, and buildings.

With increasingly stringent environmental inspections, safety has become a major concern. In the past, venting panels were commonly installed on dust collectors to release overpressure caused by dust explosions. However, such installations on indoor equipment are not permitted by safety regulations due to risks to surrounding personnel and equipment, as pressure waves and flames from explosions may trigger secondary or multiple explosions. Therefore, relying solely on explosion-proof panels for dust collectors is unreliable. We recommend using flameless venting + isolation technology (a cost-effective solution) or suppression + isolation technology to ensure production safety.

Venting: Releases explosion pressure in advance through a pressure relief device to protect equipment from damage.

Isolation: Uses an isolation valve to block explosions and prevent flame propagation.
