Product Overview:
    Pall ring packing is a new type of packing developed by improving some major shortcomings of Raschig rings. It features eight rectangular windows punched on the wall of a standard Raschig ring, with the window blades overlapping at the center and the upper and lower layers staggered. The main difference from Raschig ring packing lies in the rectangular windows on the side wall, where the window blades bend inward toward the center. The openings on the ring wall significantly improve the distribution of gas and liquid compared to Raschig rings, especially allowing full utilization of the inner surface area of the ring.
Product Features:
    Pall ring packing offers advantages such as high throughput, low resistance, high separation efficiency, and great operational flexibility. Under the same pressure drop, the processing capacity can be more than 50% higher than that of Raschig rings. At the same processing capacity, the pressure drop can be reduced by half, and mass transfer efficiency can be improved by about 20%. Compared to Raschig rings, this packing has characteristics such as high production capacity, strong resistance, and great operational flexibility. Under the same pressure drop, the processing capacity can be 50%-100% higher than that of Raschig rings; at the same processing capacity, the pressure drop is 50%-70% lower. The tower height also reduces pressure drop. Using Pall rings can save 20%-40% of the packing volume compared to Raschig rings.
Application Scope:
    Suitable for carbon dioxide degassing towers, ozone contact reaction towers, and other reaction towers as contact packing.

Metal Pall Rings
Metal Pall ring packing was developed by the German company BASF and is made by stamping thin metal sheets. Two rows of windows with inwardly extending tongues are punched on the ring wall. Each row has five tongues, each bending inward toward the center, almost meeting at the center. The positions of the upper and lower rows of windows are staggered. The total open area is about 35% of the entire ring wall area, allowing gas and liquid in the tower to pass freely through the windows. Currently, Pall ring packing remains one of the main ring-type packings in use.
