The formula for calculating the tree circumference: Tree diameter * 3.14 equals the tree circumference + 10 cm for the lock equals the total length of the tree lock required.

For trees with a diameter of 10 cm, a plastic tree tag with a length of 40 can be used.

For trees with a diameter of 12 cm, a plastic tree tag with a length of 50 can be used.

For trees with a diameter of 15 cm, a plastic tree tag with a length of 60 can be used.

For trees with a diameter of 19 cm, a plastic tree tag with a length of 70 can be used.

The plastic tags come in four fixed lengths: plastic 40 long, plastic 50 long, plastic 60 long, and plastic 70 long. For thicker trees, only steel wire tag locks can be used, and the length of the steel wire can be custom-made and extended to different lengths.
