What is KDF?
KDF is a high-purity copper-zinc alloy granular material, serving as a novel filtration medium. Its water purification principle relies on redox reactions, where KDF media exchange electrons with pollutants, converting many harmful substances into non-toxic compounds. It effectively reduces or removes chlorine and heavy metals from water while inhibiting the growth of microorganisms and algae. This filtration medium is widely used in developed countries for water purification and is referred to as "water gold."

What are the advantages of using KDF for water pretreatment?
Using KDF for water pretreatment is a simple and low-cost method. It protects expensive and fragile water treatment components from chlorine, microorganisms, and scaling. Compared to microfiltration, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis membranes, ion exchange resins, and granular activated carbon, KDF offers greater advantages in improving water treatment efficiency and maintaining long-term effectiveness at a lower cost. Today, KDF is widely applied in various settings, from kitchen water filters to industrial cooling water treatment systems.

Functions:
1. Reduce mineral scaling
KDF treatment media prevent the formation and accumulation of mineral scale, primarily by inhibiting the crystallization of calcite-form calcium carbonate.
2. Reduce suspended solids
KDF media particles have an average size of about 60 mesh, with smaller particles around 110 mesh, enabling physical filtration to remove suspended substances. Typically, KDF filtration media can remove particles as small as 50 μm, preventing them from entering the human body.
3. Remove oxidants (residual chlorine) from water
Most regions have tap water with a bleach-like taste due to residual chlorine, which can form potential carcinogens and cause various health issues. KDF55 effectively removes residual chlorine and other oxidants from water.
4. Inhibit microbial growth, controlling microbial proliferation and preventing water contamination by microorganisms.
5. Remove heavy metals and hydrogen sulfide
