The PCIEBPMCx4 board allows standard PMC boards to be installed and used in PCs with PCIE slots. After installation, it occupies one slot, which can be PCIE x4, PCIE x8, or PCIE x16, and operates in PCIE x4 mode. It can also be used with a rear-opening PCIE x1 slot but will only operate in PCIE x1 mode. The board supports PCIE x4 V2.0 and features an onboard PCIE-to-PCI bridge to enable communication between the PMC module and the PC.

Functional Description

Interface: PCI, PCI-X interface, supports PCIE 4, 8, 16, or 32-lane connectors.

Clock: 133, 100, 66, 50, 33, 25MHz PCI(X) clock frequencies.

Bus Width Support: 32-bit or 64-bit.

Power: PCIE provides 12V power; the board converts 12V to 5V to supply the PMC module.

Software Interface: Transparent transmission; registers are in the configuration space, requiring no register operations. No driver modifications are needed after installing the PMC daughter card onto this interface card.

Initialization: Factory-configured via DIP switches for automatic recognition mode; no software operation required.

VIO: VIO level set to 3.3V.

Dimensions: Half-length card, single PCIE slot width.

Structure: Multi-layer FR4 PCB board. Dimensions as shown in the figure above.

DIP Switch Settings: Default settings: 1 and 4 ON, others OFF. This is the optimal configuration. For other usage methods, please contact us.

IDSEL: IDSEL is connected to AD16 of the PMC interface.

Other Notes on PMC Interface: Pins 58, 60, and 64 of J2 are disconnected.

Other: The board supports the installation of one fan, which requires additional space. Whether a fan is needed is determined by the user; the board is shipped without a fan by default. Fan specifications: 5V voltage, mounting hole spacing of 24mm, dimensions of 30*30mm, recommended height of 5mm to avoid interference with the PMC daughter card in use. The fan typically requires at least 0.2A current.
