Titanium Magnesium Alloy Release Agent

Titanium magnesium alloy release agent is an auxiliary material used in the die-casting process of magnesium alloys. Its main function is to facilitate the smooth release of die-cast parts from the mold, reduce mold wear, and extend the mold's service life.

Titanium magnesium alloy release agents are typically composed of various chemical components, including lubricants, rust inhibitors, thickeners, stabilizers, etc. These components work together to prevent defects such as tearing and scratching during the release process of titanium magnesium alloy die-cast parts, while also improving the surface quality and dimensional accuracy of the die-cast parts.

The general method of using titanium magnesium alloy release agent is to evenly coat the inner wall of the mold with the release agent before injecting the titanium magnesium alloy melt into the mold. During use, it is important to ensure that the amount of release agent applied is moderate, as too much or too little can affect the quality of the die-cast parts and the release effect.

Titanium magnesium alloy release agents have high tensile strength, making them resistant to polishing when frequently in contact with molded resins. This is particularly true when the resin contains abrasive mineral fillers or glass fiber reinforcements. Titanium magnesium alloy release agents are chemically resistant and do not dissolve when in contact with the chemical components of various resins, especially styrene and amines. They also exhibit heat and stress resistance, making them less prone to decomposition or wear. Titanium magnesium alloy release agents adhere to the mold without transferring to the processed parts, and do not interfere with painting or other secondary processing operations.

The role of titanium magnesium alloy release agents is to smoothly separate the cured and formed products from the mold, resulting in smooth and flat products while ensuring the mold can be used multiple times. Specific performance requirements are as follows:

1. Release performance (lubricity). Forms a uniform film and ensures dimensional accuracy for complex-shaped molded products.

2. Good sustained release performance.

3. The appearance of the molded product is smooth and aesthetically pleasing, without attracting dust due to the application of sticky titanium magnesium alloy release agent.

4. Excellent secondary processability. When the titanium magnesium alloy release agent transfers to the molded product, it has no adverse effects on processes such as electroplating, hot pressing, printing, coating, or bonding.
