Metal Release Agent

Metal release agent is a functional substance that acts between the mold and the finished product. It possesses chemical resistance, remaining undissolved when in contact with the chemical components of various resins (particularly styrene and amines). Metal release agents also exhibit thermal and stress resistance, making them resistant to decomposition or wear. They adhere to the mold without transferring to the processed part, thereby not interfering with painting or other secondary processing operations. Due to the rapid development of processes such as injection molding, extrusion, calendering, compression molding, and lamination, the usage of metal release agents has significantly increased.

Technical Specifications of Metal Release Agent:

1. Appearance: Transparent white homogeneous liquid;

2. Solid Content: ±20%;

3. pH Value: 7-8;

4. Stability: No stratification, no demulsification, no caking.

Usage Method of Metal Release Agent:

Spray or brush the product directly onto the surface of the item to be released. The recommended dilution ratio for the metal release agent is 3-10 times, and the specific amount used should be adjusted according to the product system.

Metal release agent is a coating specifically designed for mold surfaces. Its function is to form a barrier film between the mold and the cast object, facilitating the easy release of cast parts from the mold.

Precautions for Using Metal Release Agent
1. Dilute with water (dilution ratio 3-10 times as appropriate) and mix evenly. The dilution ratio can also be adjusted according to on-site requirements. Try to use the diluted solution all at once.
2. Apply using a spray gun or roller brush. Allow the model coated with the metal release agent to dry completely before pouring concrete.
3. Clean the template or model surface thoroughly before application.
4. Store at room temperature, protect from freezing and direct sunlight. After opening, ensure the container is sealed and stored properly.
5. Avoid application during rainy weather. If the coating is washed away by rain immediately after application, reapply before proceeding with construction.
