The flexible waterproof sleeve is composed of seamless steel pipes, flange pressure plates, water-stop wing rings, sealing rings, and other components. Its function is to protect pipelines from damage; facilitate the installation and maintenance of pipelines; and in areas with water rooms, it can also prevent water seepage, flow, and dripping to lower floors, avoiding cross-contamination. The flexible waterproof sleeve has excellent sealing performance, and the matching pipeline can slide automatically within the sleeve. It is mainly used in places with high sealing requirements, such as civil air defense, water pools, and pipe wells.

Classification of Flexible Waterproof Sleeves:

There are several national standard atlas collections for flexible sleeves, but only one, 02S404, truly distinguishes between Type A and Type B flexible waterproof sleeves. Based on structural differences, flexible waterproof sleeves are divided into Type A and Type B. According to the atlas, the main difference between Type A and Type B lies in the side without a pressure plate: Type B flexible waterproof sleeves have an additional retaining ring 5 cm inside compared to Type A.

In other words, Type A lacks a retaining ring at the end without a pressure plate, while Type B flexible waterproof sleeves have a retaining ring at that end. Type A flexible waterproof sleeves are generally used for water pools or interior walls, whereas Type B is used for passing through structural (building) exterior walls. The sealing rings inside flexible waterproof sleeves are also categorized into Type I and Type II, i.e., round and conical. Type I sealing rings are suitable for general waterproofing requirements, while Type II sealing rings are used for strict waterproofing requirements.
