Proper installation of polycarbonate panels ensures optimal performance.
1. Before installation, check the expansion allowance to ensure the reserved expansion gap is uniform and reasonable. For data on expansion gaps, consult Henan Yongxin Panel Industry. Also, verify that the panel dimensions meet standards.
2. When fixing the panels and accessories, first peel back 30mm to 50mm of the protective film to prevent the film from being compressed by the mounting strips. Note: Avoid peeling too much film, as this may scratch the panels during installation.
3. Install the side with UV protection facing outward; do not reverse it.
4. After installing accessories, tighten self-tapping screws without excessive force.
5. When drilling holes for screws, leave appropriate gaps to account for thermal expansion and contraction.
6. Use specialized equipment to handle and move the panels during installation.

Polycarbonate Panel Product Features:
(1) Light Transmission: PC panels offer up to 89% light transmittance, comparable to glass. UV-coated panels resist yellowing, hazing, and reduced transparency after sun exposure. After 10 years, light transmittance loss is about 10%, compared to 15–20% for PVC and 12–20% for fiberglass.
(2) Impact Resistance: Impact strength is 250–300 times that of regular glass, 30 times that of acrylic sheets of the same thickness, and 2–20 times that of tempered glass. Known as "unbreakable glass" and "resonant steel."
(3) UV Protection: One side has a co-extruded UV-resistant coating; the other has anti-condensation treatment. Blocks UV rays, ideal for protecting valuable artworks and exhibits from UV damage.
(4) Lightweight: About half the weight of glass, reducing transportation, handling, installation, and support frame costs.
(5) Flame Retardant: Certified as B1 grade (slow-burning) per GB50222—95 standard. Self-ignition point is 580°C; self-extinguishing when removed from fire. Does not emit toxic gases or spread flames.
(6) Bendability: Can be cold-bent on-site into arches, semicircular roofs, and windows. Minimum bending radius is 175 times the panel thickness. Also suitable for heat bending.
(7) Sound Insulation: PC panels provide significantly better sound insulation than glass or acrylic of the same thickness. Under identical conditions, sound insulation improves by 5–9 dB. Ideal for highway noise barriers.
(8) Energy Efficiency: Cool in summer, warm in winter. PC panels have lower thermal conductivity (K-value) than glass and other plastics, offering 7–25% better insulation. Up to 49% heat retention, reducing heat loss in heated buildings.
(9) Temperature Adaptability: PC panels remain stable from -40°C to 125°C, with no significant changes in mechanical properties under harsh conditions.
(10) Weather Resistance: Maintains physical stability between -40°C and 120°C. After 4000 hours of artificial aging, yellowing index is 2, and light transmittance loss is about 0.6%.
(11) Anti-Condensation: At 0°C outdoors and 23°C indoors with humidity below 80%, the inner surface remains condensation-free. Condensation flows along the surface without dripping.
