Endurance panels, also known as unbreakable glass, are used in various aspects of life due to their characteristics. The sound insulation effect of endurance panels is very significant, so they are widely used in sound barriers on viaducts and highways. With urban development and the advancement of urban transportation, to alleviate traffic pressure, more and more viaducts are being built near residential areas. Some departments will use PC endurance panels as a protective function on viaducts, also to achieve sound insulation effects. Without the protection of sound barriers, residents near viaducts would suffer greatly from the constant flow of vehicles every day.
PC endurance panels have a noticeable sound insulation effect, providing better acoustic insulation than glass and acrylic of the same thickness. Under the same thickness conditions, the sound insulation of PC panels is 3-4 decibels higher than that of glass, making them the material of choice for highway sound barriers. A 6mm endurance panel can reduce noise by about 35 decibels, while a 3mm granular panel can reduce noise by approximately 28 decibels. Endurance panels are also suitable for indoor sound insulation and can be used as soundproof walls, partitions, etc. Because endurance panels have a smooth surface, we can also create drawings on them to make the panels more personalized and aesthetically pleasing.

Sunlight panel product characteristics:
(1) Light transmittance: PC sunlight panels can achieve up to about 89% light transmittance, comparable to glass. UV-coated panels are less prone to yellowing, fogging, or poor light transmission when exposed to sunlight. After ten years, the light transmittance loss is about 10%, while PVC loss rates reach 15–20%, and fiberglass loss is about 12–20%.
(2) Impact resistance: The impact strength is about 250-300 times that of ordinary glass, 30 times that of acrylic panels of the same thickness, and 2-20 times that of tempered glass. They are known as "unbreakable glass" and "ringing steel."
(3) UV protection: One side of the PC panel is co-extruded with an anti-UV coating, and the other side has anti-condensation treatment, combining UV resistance, heat insulation, and anti-fog functions. It blocks ultraviolet rays and is suitable for protecting valuable artworks and exhibits from UV damage.
(4) Lightweight: The specific gravity is about half that of glass, saving costs in transportation, handling, installation, and support frameworks.
(5) Flame retardant: According to the standard GB50222—95, PC sunlight panels are classified as flame-retardant, i.e., B1 level. The self-ignition point of PC panels is about 580°C, and they self-extinguish after being removed from the flame. When burning, they do not produce toxic gases and do not contribute to the spread of fire.
(6) Bendability: They can be cold-bent on-site according to design drawings to form arches, semi-circular roofs, and windows. The bending radius is about 175 times the panel thickness, and they can also be heat-bent.
(7) Sound insulation: PC sunlight panels have a noticeable sound insulation effect, providing better acoustic insulation than glass and acrylic panels of the same thickness. Under the same thickness conditions, the sound insulation of PC sunlight panels is 5–9 decibels higher than that of glass, making them the material of choice for highway sound barriers.
(8) Energy efficiency: Cool in summer and warm in winter, PC sunlight panels have a lower thermal conductivity (K-value) than ordinary glass and other plastics. The heat insulation effect is about 7–25% higher than that of glass, with PC sunlight panels achieving up to about 49% heat insulation. This significantly reduces heat loss, making them suitable for buildings with heating systems.
(9) Temperature adaptability: PC panels do not become brittle at -40°C and do not deform at 125°C. Their mechanical and physical properties remain largely unchanged even in harsh environments.
(10) Weather resistance: PC sunlight panels can maintain the stability of various physical indicators within a range of -40°C to 120°C. After 4000 hours of artificial climate aging tests, the yellowing degree is 2, and the light transmittance reduction is about 0.6%.
(11) Anti-condensation: When the outdoor temperature is 0°C, the indoor temperature is 23°C, and the indoor relative humidity is below about 80%, the inner surface of the material does not condense. Condensation will flow along the surface of the panel and not drip.
