The automatic Vaseline drop point apparatus is suitable for determining the drop point of white and yellow Vaseline according to the 2020 edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia Vaseline drop point method, which is the temperature at which the first drop of liquid falls from the grease cup under specified standard conditions. This instrument is also known as a drop point tester and is specifically designed for the determination of the drop point of white and yellow Vaseline.

This automatic instrument also complies with ASTM (D3204, D3461, D3954, D6090), DIN (51920), ISO 4625-2, and the European Pharmacopoeia.

I. Main Features of the Automatic Vaseline Drop Point Apparatus

1. Heating Furnace Structure: The heating furnace includes a heating element embedded with heating strips and a platinum resistance sensor; the central cavity is the sample chamber, used to place the test assembly: including the grease cup chuck, the grease cup filled with the sample, and the slit at the bottom of the grease cup. Below the heating element, there is a light source that emits light through the slit aperture of the slit sleeve, illuminating the signal sensor. When the sample softens and drops, blocking the light aperture, the signal sensor sends a signal, and the instrument records the temperature.

2. Test Assembly: The center is the grease cup for placing the sample; above is the chuck for gripping the top of the grease cup and connecting to the handle; below is the slit sleeve for allowing light to pass through and catching the dropped sample at the drop point.

3. Inspection of the Assembly Slit Sleeve: Enter the main interface, click the "Test" button, set the preset temperature to no more than 40 degrees, click the "Auto Detection" button to enter the automatic test interface.

4. Place the sample assembly with an empty grease cup vertically into the furnace sample chamber, ensuring the observation port at the bottom of the slit sleeve is parallel to the front, and the light-transmitting holes of the furnace and the slit sleeve are aligned to ensure the detection hole can transmit light.
