Polyester Film "Lumirror"

Mechanical Properties

"Lumirror?" exhibits strong tension under appropriate pulling force and is resistant to edge damage, making it highly suitable for electrical insulation. Its mechanical properties and other characteristics are well integrated in transverse layering within machinery.

Electrical Properties

In addition to the obvious insulating effect of polyester film, "Lumirror?" also has strong non-conductivity, maintaining significant insulation effectiveness at 8000 Volt/mil (20°C, 68°F, 60Hz, ASTM D-149-64).

Cold and Heat Resistance

The melting point of "Lumirror?" is 262-263°C (504-506°F), with an applicable temperature range from -70°C to 150°C (-95°F to 302°F). It can withstand high temperatures of 180°C (355°F) for short periods. It contains no plasticizers (which can turn other films into sharp objects), thus providing long-term insulation capability and strong climate adaptability.

Dimensional Stability

"Lumirror?" has relatively low water absorption, resulting in dimensional stability.

Chemical Resistance

"Lumirror?" is unaffected by various types of oils and most chemicals, making it resistant to the impact of waste from motors and other vehicles. However, due to its inherent physical properties, its resistance to alkali or hydrolysis is not very strong at high temperatures.

Lumirror X10S heat-resistant grade PET film, due to its specially designed raw materials that reduce oligomerization, offers excellent heat resistance and hydrolysis resistance.

Heat-resistant PET is certified under UL746B Class B.

Utilizing the electrical insulation provided by PET, along with the aforementioned long-term heat resistance and low oligomerization, they can be used for motor insulation in household appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, and large transformers.
