ZX-218 Room Temperature Iron Series Phosphating Solution

I. Product Description

This series of products is suitable for phosphating pretreatment before painting or spraying of home appliances, instruments, steel doors and windows, motorcycles, bicycles, auto parts, electric rice cookers, lighting, furniture, and other hardware components, especially as a primer for parts with significant deformation. The phosphating film is non-crystalline, thin, and appears iridescent or blue. The product is suitable for applications where phosphating is necessary but corrosion resistance requirements are not extremely stringent. It can be used in conjunction with baking paint, spray coating, painting, and other coating processes.

II. Main Features

（1）Good bending and impact resistance; the film layer is not easily deformed.

（2）Single-component, no need for surface adjustment or accelerators. Strong applicability to base materials.

（3）Excellent stability; even if parts are not thoroughly cleaned, it does not affect performance. The bath solution is easy to maintain and operate.

（4）Low production cost with a suitable performance-to-price ratio.

This product is mainly composed of non-ionic surfactants, zinc salts, phosphating modifiers, oxidizers, etc. The film layer offers high corrosion resistance (compared to general iron series phosphating), reacts fully without residual liquid, and does not accumulate ash on the surface, fundamentally distinguishing it from ordinary iron series phosphating. It is one of the better products in iridescent film phosphating. The film layer appears iridescent or blue. Suitable for general pretreatment of steel and its alloy surfaces before coating.

IV. Solution Preparation Method

（1）The tank must be made of corrosion-resistant materials such as fiberglass, stainless steel, PVC, or ceramics.

（2）Phosphating Agent: Mix the phosphating agent with water at a ratio of 1:10 and stir evenly.

V. Adjustment and Maintenance

（1）After using the phosphating solution, when the phosphating effect declines, add 1/4 to 1/10 of the initial tank volume of phosphating agent to ensure the pH value remains between 2—3.

（2）When the pH of the bath solution exceeds 3, add an appropriate amount of phosphating agent to adjust the pH to the range of 2—3.

VI. Process Flow

Degreasing → Rinsing → Derusting → Rinsing → Rinsing → Phosphating → Drying → Spraying
