Performance and Applications

Wet desulfurization defoamer is a new type of defoamer developed for flue gas desulfurization in power plants. It is composed of special organic compounds and modified silicone polyethers, which can effectively suppress the large amount of foam generated during the washing process of flue gas by limestone slurry in the absorption tower of wet desulfurization systems, preventing ash accumulation at the inlet of the absorption tower. The wet desulfurization defoamer has good dispersibility in water and is highly compatible with the slurry, making it resistant to demulsification and oil floating. It rapidly reduces the surface tension of the slurry. This defoamer effectively eliminates foam and inhibits foam generation over an extended period, thereby controlling the liquid level in the desulfurization tower and preventing false high levels and slurry overflow.

III. Usage Method

Dilute the wet desulfurization defoamer 10 times with tap water, then add it to the circulating pool of the process makeup water sump. Use a metering pump to intermittently inject the defoamer into the absorption tower. The defoamer should be added in a one-time shock dose, followed by a subsequent dose every 24 hours. Adjust the dosage according to different foaming systems, with a recommended usage range from a few thousandths to a few ten-thousandths.

IV. Packaging and Storage

The wet desulfurization defoamer is packaged in plastic drums, 25KG/drum or as specified by the customer. Store in a cool, ventilated indoor area with a shelf life of ten months.

V. Safety and Protection

When handling the wet desulfurization defoamer, observe labor protection measures. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
